Here are some photos of our lovely hens. We have 10 normal chickens, and one that we lovingly refer to as "the beaker", as it developed with a cross beak, and has its own pen and solitary life. Beaker is more the family pet than anything, a very funny bird with a surprisingly unique personality. I will post pictures of the beaker soon, but for today, some shots of the babies of a year ago, and the full grown brood of today. We are getting up to 10 eggs per day! If anyone is interested in fresh eggs, please let me know! Tom sells them for $3.00 a dozen and we have a lot of people hooked on the fine rich taste of the fresh egg. He is raking it in!

Yesterday was so wonderfully sunny and warm here that it seemed a fitting time to go test out the new camera system at Chapin Beach. Tom was as always a willing and wonderful sport about it all. Here are a couple of particularly comical outtakes.
