We head to San Francisco tomorrow on a much anticipated trip. We will be gone until Sunday....my birthday! I will be returning email periodically, but will probably not be returning phone messages until Monday the 8th. My business phone forwards to my cell, but then I have that unfortunate roaming going on.....so forgive me for being somewhat MIA.
It is supposed to rain here all week, so we will be flying into the sunshine!
This week, I have been reading the somewhat ill-timed choice of The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve, which I grabbed at a thrift store somewhere along the way. The book is good though, a page turner. Of course, I have already read the last few pages to find out what happens. I admit that I am not a big reader. I love bookstores, love to roam around them...hold the books and read the covers. I then purchase things I think that I am interested in....which then proceed to sit on my bookshelf, until at least the summer's beach reading, or a few pages here and there before bed, in which case I fall asleep within minutes. NYC was the only time where I truly was able to get absorbed in books and finished one every few days, due to the amount of time spent commuting on public transit. Do I stare at the hairy armpit in my face on the subway for 20 minutes, or read a book? hmmm.......no big decision there.
In my CD player this week, Van Hunt, which I like quite a bit. There is this really beautiful song I am in love with, track 5 I believe. As well, a little Earth Wind and Fire.
As I always have said, I am a child of the 70's.
Until next week then!
