Here is a sampling of the ELEMENTS art showing tonight. It was a nice turnout! Thank you to all who attended! The show is up for the entire month of June at the Island Merchant. Thank you to Bev and Joe for all of your support!

Here are a couple of shots from yesterday's weddingat the Popponessett! It did not rain totally, so we were lucky to get some outside shots on the beach after all.
Tonight is my opening reception for the ELEMENTS show, hope to see you at the Island Merchant from 5 to 7!

These were taken last night in Yarmouthport at the place we locals refer to as "Bass Hole", but also more formally called Gray's Beach. It is a lovely spot with a long boardwalk overlooking the beautiful green marshland. What a sweet boy!
Today is my first wedding of the season, and I am doing the sun dance praying that the gorgeous sunlight I see out my window now sustains until 5PM! They have forecast rain all weekend, starting this afternoon. At least it is not a beach wedding!

I have to give a shout out to my friend Chris Atsalis at Marjon. I just stopped in to see the prints for the show and they are quite simply.......gorgeous. I am SO excited to hang this tomorrow and have people see the work. The frames are a nickel silver metal with a warm white double mat, under UV glass. The images are all printed on a warm watercolor paper, and they really pop with such simple and elegant framing. I am thrilled!
Marjon is the best. You may be able to go somewhere less expensive, but they know their stuff, and have no problem talking with you for an hour to get just the right match in color and texture. Plus, they are incredibly supportive of artists, and work creatively to help you through the framing process. Also, they are timely, a wonderful thing to be able to rely on.
Thank you Chris for all of your efforts!

These are a few pics from last night's portrait session, the first of what is looking to be a busy season! This baby was so totally sweet and adorable. And yes, there was a dog too. The last one was a slip of the finger, hence it being off center....but I actually like it quite a bit!

Memorial Day weekend on Cape Cod is the official start of summer!
Lucky we were today to have the most beautiful, WARM, and sunny Sunday to get out onto Chapin Beach, only paradise on earth!
This place has been a part of my life since I can remember.
It is one of the great moments each year when you can finally jump out of the truck and plant your feet in the sand for the first time. (and yes, my feet are that white!) Summer has begun!
My aunt Patti, who is a fixture at "the point" (the furthest point out on the beach where the "regulars" gather) was on the beach at 7AM today to get the primo spot. She was still there when we left at 4PM....and probably saw the sun go down there as well.
This is truly one of the simple pleasures in life, and we all here feel blessed to be able to have such an incredible spot so close at hand to enjoy.
This is the true essence of the Cape!
